The canister is the first large-scale product made entirely from Icelandic plastic waste that never leaves the country. It is created by us, Pure North, right here at our recycling factory in Hveragerði.
The windshield washer fluid inside is made from Icelandic water by CrossChem, a company located in Hafnarfjörður.
We source our plastic from local companies like Krónan, Húsasmiðjan, Eimskip, Vínbúðin, Myllan, BM Vallá, and Samskip—along with agricultural hay bale plastic collected from farmers and municipalities all across Iceland. This local loop guarantees a minimum 70% lower carbon footprint compared to imported virgin canisters
